Flashcat has been commissioned by European Tour Productions to direct and produce the WGC HSBC Championships 2010 Preview Film. The documentary will feature exclusive interviews with many of world’s top golfers including Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Rory McIlroy.
The film will be shot on location in Boston, USA and Shanghai in China during September 2010 and post-produced at Media House in London. |

Flashcat has been commissioned by European Tour Productions to design and produce a commercial to promote the 2010 PGA Heart of Golf campaign. The commercial will feature the European Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie and will air on Sky Sports.
Flashcat will devise the graphic design of the campaign and work with Crosscut Productions to create and edit the look and style of the commercial.

Flashcat directed and produced Wimbledon 2010: The Grandest of Slams in collaboration with IMG Sports Media for The All England Lawn Tennis Club. This definitive story of the Wimbledon Championships features exclusive interviews with champions Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams and other past champions including Roger Federer, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King and Jimmy Connors. The film was shot on location at Wimbledon using HD XD Cams and the Canon 5d Mark 2.
Narrated by Sam Hazeldine, Wimbledon 2010: The Grandest of Slams will be broadcast by all worldwide official Wimbledon rights holders, will be shown on major airlines as part of their in-flight programming and will be available on DVD. |

The film was broadcast at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on 4 May 2010 at a gala dinner and included the classic 1980's Robinson's commercials featuring the unmistakable voice of Wimbledon, Dan Maskell, and the most significant moments in Wimbledon tennis history. |

Barclays Ball Kids National Final 2010 |

Flashcat was commissioned by Progressive Sports & Entertainment Marketing and U.COM Media to direct the Barclays Ball Kids National Finals shoot on Saturday 10 April. The shoot took place at The Westway Sports Centre in London and featured over 100 kids who had been selected from 10 regional trials featuring over 1600 children.
Former Wimbledon Champion Pat Cash, tennis trickster Mansour Bahrami and Andy Murray's former coach Mark Petchey were on hand to help the professional coaches with the selection process. Flashcat recorded the day's proceedings including interviews with the selection team and many of the kids taking part.
After a 4 month search 30 kids have now been selected to be the Ball Kids at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in November 2010. The squad will now undergo 2 summer training sessions and an intensive 5 day "Base Camp" in October where they will perfect their skills before joining the world's top 8 tennis players at the O2.

Tennis Remembered |

Flashcat was commissioned by The All England Lawn Tennis Club to produce and direct a High Definition shoot at Wimbledon for the “Tennis Remembered” Nostalgia Day.
The shoot took place on Saturday 20 March 2010. Many Club Members attended including past Wimbledon finalists and Members who had played at SW19 between the 1930’s and 1970’s. The attendees brought with them personal tennis memorabilia and of course their own very special memories which were recorded by the Flashcat film crew.
David Godfree, the son of Wimbledon Champions Leslie and Kitty Godfree, recalled wonderful stories involving his parents tennis careers. Wimbledon Men’s Doubles Finalist Bobby Wilson recalled his last match at SW19 against a young John McEnroe. |

Barclays Ball Kid Programme 2010 |

Flashcat has been commissioned by Progressive Sports & Entertainment Marketing and U.COM Media to direct a series of shoots across the UK for the Barclays Ball Kids Programme. To view a montage Click Here. The shoots will take place in 10 different cities from February to April including London, Manchester, Leeds and Cambridge. The Barclays Ball Kid programme is an initiative to find 30 children, from several thousand entrants, who will become the ball kids working at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena, November 2010. The event will feature the world's top 8 tennis players including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. |

Davis Cup 2009/10 |

Flashcat was commissioned by the International Tennis Federation to produce a film to celebrate 110 years of the Davis Cup. Ryder Cup Commercial 2010 |

Flashcat has produced a commercial for the European Tour to promote “Where Will You Be?” a campaign to encourage spectators to utilise the outstanding hospitality at the Ryder Cup 2010.
The Ryder Cup epitomises the greatest traditions of international sporting competition. Every two years the leading players from Europe and the United States entertain thousands of spectators and millions of television viewers worldwide in golf’s most prestigious team event. No other golfing competition comes close emotion, intensity and atmosphere of the Ryder Cup.
In 2010 the eyes of the sporting world will focus on the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales for the 38th edition of the Ryder Cup. Colin Montgomerie and Corey Pavin, the team captains, will have 24 of the finest golfers in the world as members of their teams. This will guarantee incredible golf and great drama.

The Open Championship 2009 |

Flashcat has produced two commercials for the R&A to promote The Open Championship at Turnberry 2009.
From July 16 – 19 2009 The Open Championship was played at Turnberry in Scotland.
In 1977 Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus, the two greatest players of the age played in what was called “The Duel in the Sun” and was without doubt one of the greatest golf championships ever played with Watson coming out on top by a single shot. In 2009, at the age of 59 Tom Watson turned back the clock with a stunning display of golf but fellow American Stewart Cink snatched the title from the hands of the five-time Open Champion in a four-hole play off after they tied on a two-under-par total of 278.
The two commercials produced by Flashcat to promote The Open 2009 were transmitted on all JC Decaux concessions situated throughout Glasgow International Airport during June and July 2009. Flashcat worked closely with JC Decaux, Europe’s largest out-of-home advertising company, to deliver the commercials to the correct specifications for the High Definition digital screens. |

From 13 – 20 June The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour came to Eastbourne on the south coast of England. Six of the world’s Top 10 women’s tennis players were on show including the new French Open Champion Svetlana Kuznetsova, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic and Elena Dementieva and former Wimbledon Champion Amelie Mauresmo.
Historically these grass court championships, considered a “warm-up” event for Wimbledon, have been won by some of the greatest players including Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert and Justine Henin.
Flashcat was commissioned by The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour to shoot interviews with the top players to be included in an exclusive corporate DVD to be produced later in 2009. |

PGA Heart of Golf Commercial |

Flashcat was commissioned by European Tour Productions to design, direct and produce a commercial to promote the PGA Heart of Golf campaign.
The commercial was shot over two days at Silvermere Golf Club in Surrey, England in Spring 2009 and aired on Sky Sports throughout the summer.
Flashcat worked closely with Media House to devise the graphic design of the campaign and Crosscut Productions to create and edit the look and style of the commercial. |

Wimbledon - A Centre Court Celebration |

On May 17 the new roof over Wimbledon’s Centre Court was used for the first time at the All England Lawn Tennis Club at a special event called A Centre Court Celebration. The event was designed to test the new structure and the all-important air-management system with live tennis in front of a capacity crowd of 15,000.
Four tennis legends, Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters played a combination of singles and doubles matches, while entertainment was provided by singing stars Katherine Jenkins, Faryl Smith and Blake.
Flashcat was employed by IMG Media and directed the official camera crew, provided by Atlas Television. The crew shot both on court and behind the scenes as the All England Club, the players and entertainment stars prepared for the occasion. Exclusive interviews with Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi were conducted and were included in various AELTC official productions. |
